Mentoring for Youth Environmental Action

Join ECO-UNESCO for an engaging and inspiring evening open to anyone interested in supporting young people to take environmental action; teachers, youth workers, educators, community leaders, or anyone passionate about sustainability and youth empowerment.

Through the Young Environmentalist Awards (YEA) programme, we’ll explore how mentoring can help young people design, lead and deliver impactful environmental projects. The evening will combine learning, reflection and connection and a chance to experience the landscape together.

Attendees are also more than welcome to bring along young people if they wish.

Draft Agenda
5:00–5:30pm Arrival & Introduction
Welcome and introduction to the Young Environmentalist Awards and the evening’s purpose.

5:30–6:00pm Guided Boardwalk on the Bog
A guided walk led by the An Creagán Education Officer, introducing us to the landscape.

6:00–6:30pm Casual Dinner
Enjoy a relaxed vegetarian meal in The Barn and with time to chat and connect with others.

6:30–7:30pm Supporting Youth Environmental Action
A practical, interactive session with activities, resources and discussion on how mentors can support young people taking environmental action.
