Achieving Climate Justice Through Litigation and People Power

Organiser: Community Law and Mediation oin Community Law and Mediation's Centre for Environmental Justice in Tailor's Hall on Thursday 13th November at 6pm, to discuss the role of litigation in achieving climate justice. We will discuss challenges in navigating the legal process and how they can be overcome, and how people power is essential to ensuring that legal action is effective. CLM is delighted to be joined by former President of Ireland, and UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Mary Robinson, and a panel of those taking legal action and building people power to win climate justice in Ireland. Our panelists include: Justine Schoenfeld-Quinn, CLM's Centre for Environmental Justice Judy Osborne, Friends of the Irish Environment Mohammad Naeem, former UN youth representative for Ireland and An Taisce Climate Ambassador Phil Kearney, Grandfather, climate activist, concerned citizen
