🎤 First speakers announced:
Dr Ciara Brennan – Director and co-founder of the Environmental Justice Network Ireland, Ciara is a leading voice on environmental governance and access to justice. Her research and project work across Ireland and Europe provide critical insight into how legal systems respond to environmental harm.
Enda McGarrity – Director at P.A.Duffy & Co Solicitors and Head of its Human Rights and Public Law department, Enda brings extensive experience in judicial review, public inquiries, and environmental litigation. His work on cases relating to the Lough Neagh algae crisis reflects a strong focus on accountability and justice for affected communities.
Stephen Reid – A Northern Ireland-based filmmaker and content creator, Stephen’s work has played a key role in bringing the Lough Neagh crisis into public focus. His contribution highlights the power of storytelling and digital platforms in shaping environmental awareness and debate.
Together, these speakers will offer a unique and practical perspective on the Lough Neagh crisis – from public awareness and lived impact, to legal accountability and systemic reform.
