Linking the Irish Environment: The aim of the ‘Linking the Irish Environment’ project is to examine how to enable the environment sector across the island of Ireland to cooperate and engage on an all-island and cross-border basis to deal with shared environmental challenges, risks, and opportunities.
Access to Justice Observatory: Accessing Justice at EU and National Level EJNI’s Access to Justice Observatory project has the object of screening legislative developments at EU and national level for compliance with the access to justice requirements of the Aarhus Convention.

BACKGROUND

Caitlin graduated from University College Cork in 2019 with a BA in Law and French. In final year she undertook environmental law modules including, ‘Sources and Foundations of Environmental law’ & ‘Environmental Law: Contemporary issues in Governance, Regulation and Enforcement’.

Since then, she undertook an internship at Phoenix law, a Human Rights firm, and was a legal volunteer for Friends of the Earth NI.

AREAS OF INTEREST

She is interested in the correlation between community engagement and the implementation of environmental legislation at EU/ national level. In addition, the combination of a law degree and a background in activism cultivated a strong interest in equal access to environmental justice for all citizens.
