Declan is a trade union and environmental law solicitor.
He has set up the Ecojustice Legal Action Centre in light of his career as a collective labour lawyer because he sees important synchronicities in the collective action of trade unions and the need for collective action to secure climate justice.
Declan has previously worked in the Trade Union Law Group of Thompsons Solicitors, the Workers Bureau of the International Labour Organisation, the International Trade Union Confederation and the Amsterdam Institute for Advanced Labour Studies.
He is Chair of the Haldane Society of Socialist Lawyers and its representative on the Bureau of the International Association of Democratic Lawyers, as well as on the Coordinating Committee of the European Lawyers for Workers Network.
