Climate Café Dublin 02/07/23: Coffee, Conversation & Climate

Are you feeling anxious about the climate emergency?

Finding it difficult to talk to others about it.

You’re not alone.

The Climate Café, this Sunday at 5pm, on the third floor of Cornocopia, is an opportunity to come together and share a safe space for expressing our thoughts and feelings on the climate and ecological crisis we face.

A confidential, warm, friendly and hospitable occasion. Buy yourself a drink and possibly a nice meal or snack from Cornucopia then head upstairs to us.

There is no pressure to speak publicly, but in groups of four, we will talk about what the changing climate means to us, and exploring the feelings that arise. Themes and prompts are given – but only as gentle suggestions – and props, pens and paper to doodle on will all be provided. Whatever makes you feel comfortable.

No guest speakers, no lectures, no advice, no commitment, an action-free space.

The focus is our thoughts and feelings about climate change, rather than what we’re doing about it. This isn’t a debate over statistics or strategy, nor an activist recruitment drive.

The idea is simple. Meet with other people and take turns expressing how climate and ecological breakdown makes you feel.

Please note: This is a free event, but space is limited, so if you reserve a ticket and then are unable to attend, please cancel the reservation as early as possible. Thank you!

Location: Cornucopia Wholefoods Restaurant Top Floor 19-20 Wicklow Street D02 FK27 Dublin Ireland
