The ICE NI ECNet Conference is an annual all-day event for early career professionals and students. This year’s programme features an impressive list of speakers exploring the theme ‘Building a Better Society’.
The UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) underpin the Conference theme, exploring in more depth how they are being adopted as the framework for sustainable development and how this is being applied by teams and projects both locally in Northern Ireland as well as globally.
Join us to hear about the Great Yarmouth Third River Crossing from Lynsey McNeilly (Farrans) and Ryan Dillon (BAM Nuttall); Enda McKenna and Raymond Hughes (McFarland Consulting) will look at the theme of sustainability through maintaining and extending the lifespan of existing infrastructure and Dr Anna Monaghan (Deliberate Learning) and Brenda O’Loan (incoming ICE NI Chair 2023-24) will give more insight into ICE NI STEM Ambassadors, the importance of the role and how you can get involved.
The event will also include an afternoon session – UN SDGs: Meeting our Obligations. This session will be led by ICE Future Leaders Benjamin Delmond, Lucy Davison, Blake Scott and Svetlana Loão who will present the progress on their UN SDG assessment tool, followed by a practical workshop to test the tool on various projects.
As always, there will be plenty of opportunity to network with peers and make new connections.
This event is kindly sponsored by SNC-Lavalin Atkins.
Admission can be purchased from £8.33 and the event is located at Riddel Hall Queen’s University Belfast 185 Stranmillis Road.
