Familiarise yourself with “Biodiversity Net Gain ” (BNG) at Landscape Institutes upcoming #LIWebinar in partnership with Natural England and Building with Nature to discover best practice and guidance while gaining an overview of the upcoming mandatory BNG requirement

Open to both members and non-members, this event will be taking place online on Thursday 11 May, 12-13:30 (BST)

This session will introduce the concept of BNG, highlight best practice and guidance and give an overview of the forthcoming mandatory biodiversity net gain requirement. The session will also highlight the differences between current BNG practice and the coming mandatory regime.

The session will explore the opportunities, potential challenges and the next steps for BNG as a means of delivering outcomes for nature.

Setting the scene on biodiversity net gain
Where we are now and the national BNG Policy
The Biodiversity Metric
BNG and other environmental approaches (stacking and bundling)
