Love your Leftovers: Tackling Food Waste Together

Are you passionate about sustainability and how small changes in our habits can benefit our pocket and our climate? Join dlr this Dublin Climate Action Week for an interactive workshop on food waste, that will help you learn to love your leftovers and transform the way you think about food!

Location: Holy Cross Parish Centre, Dundrum (beside Holy Cross Church)
Cost: Free (Registration Required)

Our expert speakers will share practical tips and tricks on meal planning and shopping and show how best to minimise the impact of food waste through the Food Waste Challenge. Chef Éilis Davenport and Averil Rafferty of Learn Local, will demonstrate how to properly store, preserve and extend the life of basic foods, as well as using leftovers creatively to create delicious meals and reduce waste. Understand the fundamentals of composting with Craig Benton of Composting Ireland, and how you can start to compost at home.

Lunch will be provided by the Food Cloud Kitchen, a social enterprise that turns surplus food into delicious meals to further reduce food waste. Take home guides and composting caddy packs will help you continue your journey towards reducing food waste.
