Our Story, Our City, Our Responsibility – What you DO makes a difference!

Business as usual is not an option in the face of climate change. Europe is the fastest warming continent of the world. Our island is ranked one of the worst in the world for the damage done to its habitats and wildlife. Extreme weather and flooding are becoming more frequent. And Lough Neagh is dying.

In partnership with Brink! and the Co-Centre for Climate + Biodiversity + Water, we have come together to run workshops to explore new ways to think and act in our city. This session will be a discussion panel and collaborative workshop to crowdsource ideas about how our city should innovate to meet the challenges of Climate Change.

Join us for a three-part session, start the afternoon local artists, featuring music and networking opportunities, as we come together to spark ideas and inspire change. This will be followed by “Ignite Talks”, where expert panellists will deliver powerful, short presentations on six key areas shaping our city’s sustainability: Eat, Live, Wear, Waste, Power, and Travel. These talks will provide insights into the challenges and solutions we face in transforming how we live and thrive in our community.

The final and most crucial part of the evening is where we need your voice. You’re invited to take part in roundtable discussions, where we’ll collaborate on actions our city should prioritize to address sustainability across these six themes. The roundtable will bring together diverse voices and unlikely partners to work together and co-create a manifesto of immediate, actionable steps for our city’s sustainable future.
