This workshop is open to young people aged 13-18 and will be led by Shirley-Ann McMillan.
We are connected to the physical landscape of the places that we live in lots of different ways. Recently people have begun thinking more about the earth which we live and build on because of concerns about climate change, but poets have been writing about the human relationship with land for centuries. In this workshop we’ll be thinking about how our identities are influenced and shaped by the land around and underneath us.
This will be a workshop that absolutely everyone can participate in, whether you’re a total beginner or someone who can’t stop writing! At the end of the session you will have at least one complete and unique piece of work about identity and land.
Location: The Seamus Heaney Centre 38-40 University Road Belfast BT7 1NN
