A big hello from BOLD Climate Action – by and for older people!

We are inviting all of you, as part of the BOLD Climate Action Group, to participate in an exciting climate action on Tuesday the 12th November. We are doing this action as part of Friends of the Earth’s Climate Justice Action Day.

The central theme on the day is ‘Time is Running Out- Act Now’.

One of our members will be dressed as Old Father Time and the rest of those who attend will wear a large cardboard clock to the front. This image includes the Planet and shows the time as 5 minutes to midnight.

Participants will also wear a message on their backs which says “Older Bolder Climate Voter” .

We will have placards with the following messages:

We have the solutions – Act Now!

Make a difference – Act Now!

Use Your Vote- Politicians Act Now!

Time to Make a Better Future – Act Now!

We Have the Science, We Need the Will – Act Now!

Climate Crisis: Use Your Vote- Act Now!

Where we will meet: Top of Grafton Street St at 1.00

What we will do:

We will have sound makers to attract attention

We are considering a chant or two

We will have a banner with the BOLD logo and a central message

We will hand out FOE leaflets with Programme For Government Asks

We will move down Grafton Street to the central island opposite the GPO on O’Connell and repeat the action there.

Please come and be part of the action and demonstrate that older people are Bold Climate Activists
