In this workshop with artist Kate Escolin for 8 – 11 year olds, learn how to make your own folded zine* about climate-awareness and climate hope.
The goal for the workshop is to encourage young people to talk about their personal worries and concerns on climate change with a hopeful outlook. They will be challenged to express their own views on this politically charged topic through zine making.
Each participant will go away with their own zine, a how-to fold worksheet and hopefully a new love for zine making!
All materials provided.
*A Zine (like magazine) is a handmade publication or mini book that you make yourself with a focus on being low cost to make, produce and can be about anything. Zines started in the 1960s as informal underground publications about social and political activism.
